I am definitely a dog person. This is me and my not really a lap dog Juno watching TV the other night. I have a feeling the latest fabric range from Makower would definitely meet her approval.
Patch is a fun fabric range featuring dogs of all shapes and sizes in striking colours including plenty of on trend mustard. We have 4 fabrics from the range including a fab small scale bone and paw print, a useful stripe and two larger scale cartoony designs.
As well as making a fun quilt for the dog lover in your life, it would also make great accessories for your own pampered pooch. How about a snuggly bed? Or a fashionable bandanna echoing the dogs in the design?
If you’re more of a cat person, we still have some fabric left from the Cats collection also by Makower as well as a cat scatter from the Mini Series by Timeless Treasures.
So which do you prefer? Are you a cat person or a dog person or perhaps you like a bit of both?
We have worked with leading French yarn brand Bergere de France since we opened. I fell in love with their high quality but affordable yarns and super stylish pattern designs. Over the last two years, they have worked hard to grow their UK fan base and improve the quality of the English translations of their pattern
In order to give customers the best possible experience, they are recruiting a small selection of UK local yarn stores to be Bergere Premium Stockists and we are so excited to have been chosen as the representative in the West Midlands and one of the first in the country!
This means that we now stock a far wider range of their gorgeous yarns (17 in total!) as well as all the most up to date pattern books. We are able to offer expert advice on selecting the right yarn as well as helping with any problems or pattern queries you might have. With yarns from just £2.95/ball and patterns for babies, children and adults covering all difficulty levels there’s sure to be something to appeal to you whatever your budget. For summer knitting we have the adult and child pattern books, each of which contain almost 30 patterns using lightweight yarns and cool natural fibres perfect for the sunny days we are hopefully going to enjoy.
I will be profiling many of the new yarns on here over the next few weeks along with pattern suggestions. We are also planning some special Bergere de France events and activities so watch this space! I’m sure you’ll agree this is an exciting development and a huge opportunity for us so please do come in and have a stroke of the new yarns, we’d love to see you.
